Volkswagen’s online lifestyle store, which is run by the ProShop Corporate, is a one-stop-shop for all Volkswagen branded merchandise in South Africa.
The online store holds exclusive rights to design, manufacture, sell and distribute Volkswagen lifestyle merchandise in South Africa. The range consists of an extensive collection of headwear, outerwear,
t-shirts and polo shirts as well as luggage, accessories and gifts.
The Volkswagen Lifestyle store has a variety of ranges available namely GTI, R and Amarok Collections as well as the Heritage and Motorsport range. The extensive range of headwear has been the best-selling item on the site, with over 28 000 caps and bucket hats sold in 2021.
Prices at the Volkswagen Lifestyle store range from just R9 for a Volkswagen Golf pencil to R2 500 for a pair of Golf GTI sunglasses imported from Germany. The best value item in the store is the Volkswagen keyring, which retails for a mere R49.
In the Volkswagen range, this year’s best-selling item was the Corporate Cooler Bag with 9 000 units sold. The GTI bucket hats, which were launched in October, were the best-selling item in the GTI Collection with 3 000 units sold this year. The R cap was the most popular in the R Collection with 2 000 caps sold in 2021; meanwhile Volkswagen Motorsport caps sold 2 000 units.
The introduction of the Polo Vivo Mswenko provided a great opportunity for the Volkswagen Lifestyle store to collaborate with local designers in order to showcase their artwork and to help them launch a new range of merchandise. The artists created a trendy Mswenko range which included t-shirts, socks as well as bucket hats.
In 2022, the Volkswagen Lifestyle store will launch a new luggage range as well as a new headwear range featuring stylish bucket hats.
