Linda JACKSON / PEUGEOT CEO: “The Brussels Motor Show is a must for PEUGEOT: for its 100th edition, it will be the first international event of the year and brings together almost all car manufacturers. After revealing the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT, our vision of the Brand’s future for 2025 – 2030, we are proudly presenting all our electrified models to the Brussels public. This show marks the kick-off of our technological offensive, underscoring our ambition to make PEUGEOT the leading brand for 100% electric models. “
New PEUGEOT 408: Fastback and feline
With the new 408, PEUGEOT is showcasing the inventiveness of its designers and engineers by offering an unprecedented fastback silhouette in the C-segment, the first of its kind in the Brand’s history and in the current car market.
The 408’s design with its feline stance gives it a unique look. Its aerodynamics and electric engines are focused on efficiency. Its instinctive technologies are dedicated to driving pleasure.
The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® (compact steering wheel, digital cluster, intuitive touch screen) is a central feature of the cockpits on Lion models. Over 10 years, it has been improved and modernised with each new generation. In the new 408, it has enhanced ergonomics, quality and technology featuring a new i-Connect infotainment system.
The engine range includes two Plug-In hybrid versions developing 180 and 225bhp respectively, and a 130bhp 3-cylinder 1.2 PureTech petrol version. All of them are combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. A 100% electric vision will be launched at a later date.
The Li-ion battery of both plug-in hybrids has a capacity of 12.4kWh and an output of 102kW. Two types of on-board chargers are available: a 3.7kW single-phase charger as standard and a 7.4kW single-phase charger as an option. Charging time varies from 1 hour 55 minutes to 7 hours 5 minutes depending on the type of socket available.
The new 408 is 4.69m long and has a generous wheelbase of 2.79m for maximum space on board. Its 536-litre boot increases to 1,611 litres (for the petrol version) once the rear seatbacks are folded down.

The Car of the Year (COTY) award will be presented by a jury of 59 European journalists, automotive experts from 22 countries, at a ceremony to be held during the Brussels Motor Show press day: see you in Hall 9 on 13th January, from 12:00 to 12:45, to find out the winner!
To be among the 7 finalists, the new 408 won the jury over with the attractive design of its new, unusual silhouette, the driving pleasure felt at the wheel, its technologies and the efficiency of its engines.
PEUGEOT e-208 GT: more power and efficiency
The PEUGEOT e-208 GT has undergone a major technological upheaval by adopting the engine of the new e-308. Maximum power has increased by 15%, from 136 to 156bhp, while a major effort on efficiency has reduced energy consumption to just 14.6kW/h (for the e-208 GT). As a result, the range has jumped by 10.5% (+38km) to 398km (for the e-208 GT).
By the end of 2021, the e-208 had already made progress by reaching 362km of range, an extra 22km compared to the first version which appeared in 2019. Since its launch, and thanks to these two successive developments, the range has jumped by 17.65% while consumption has fallen by 15%.
PEUGEOT 308 SW: an expressive style with a racy profile
The PEUGEOT 308 SW is efficient and ultra-modern to meet customer expectations in the compact estate segment. Its 4.64m length and 2.73m wheelbase provide ample passenger space.
Its aerodynamics have been optimised with a Cx of 0.277 and SCx of 0.618m, for gains in CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption. A host of storage areas are entirely dedicated to well-being and practicality. The vast central console provides space for the driver and front passenger’s everyday items.
The PEUGEOT 308 SW comes with several types of engines: Plug-In hybrids (HYBRID 225 e-EAT8, HYBRID 180 e-EAT8), petrol (PureTech 130 S&S BVM6 and PureTech 130 S&S EAT8) and diesel (BlueHdi 130 S&S EAT8).
508 PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED
With the performance versions of the PEUGEOT 508 saloon and SW, labelled PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED, the Brand has invented the codes of a new responsible performance: Neo-Performance, the perfect alliance between sportiness and technology.
The Kryptonite inserts echo the new PEUGEOT SPORT identity, while the light signature of the three claw rear lights draws on the brand’s heritage.
The 508 PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED is a technological marvel and epitomises the expertise of PEUGEOT SPORT engineers. These engineers have proven themselves in international competitions such as the WRC (World Rally Championship), the Dakar, Pikes Peak and the WEC (Word Endurance Championship).
In parallel with the launch of the 508 PSE, PEUGEOT announced its return to the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in the LMH (Le Mans Hypercar) class.
PEUGEOT 9X8: designed to race
The PEUGEOT 9X8 is a brand-new generation high-performance hybrid competition car. It made its debut in the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with encouraging results in Monza (Italy), Fuji (Japan) and Bahrain.
The 9X8 incorporates all of the Brand’s contemporary aesthetic codes: a feline stance, fluid lines enhanced by sportiness, sleek and structured flanks and, above all, the three-claw light signatures. The PEUGEOT 9X8 elicits emotion and embodies an aesthetic and technical revolution, an ultimate design adventure.
2023: PEUGEOT electric year
In addition to these flagship models, the PEUGEOT stand at the Brussels Motor Show will host other electric models: the 100% electric e-2008 SUV, the 3008 Plug-in Hybrid, the 308 saloon, as well as the PEUGEOT e-EXPERT utility vehicle.
2023 will bear witness to a marked acceleration in the electrification of the PEUGEOT range: from the first half of the year, all PEUGEOT models will be available with one or more electrified engines, in particular the 3008 SUV and 5008 Hybrid.
PEUGEOT will be able to offer the widest “e-choice” in Europe. From electric bicycles to vans, including e-scooters and passenger cars, PEUGEOT will meet all the needs of electrified mobility. The brand is making progress towards its goal of selling all its models in Europe in 100% electric versions by 2030
