According to the final sales statistics for South African vehicle sales, Chery achieved a significant milestone by selling a total of 16,110 vehicles in 2023. This marked a substantial leap from the already impressive 8,013 vehicles sold in 2022. The star performer in Chery’s lineup was the Tiggo 4 Pro, which accounted for 9,916 vehicles sold, making it not only the most popular model range for Chery but also one of the overall best-selling passenger vehicles in South Africa. Notably, Tiggo 4 Pro sales more than doubled in just one year.
The Tiggo 4 Pro range was expanded in 2023 with the introduction of the Tiggo 4 Pro LiT in both manual and automatic variants. This addition not only broadened the options for customers but also made the entry into the Chery family more accessible with a starting price of only R279,900 while maintaining the brand’s impressive warranty and service support.
“Our 10-year / 1,000,000 km engine warranty remains unmatched in South Africa. Chery also pioneered the inclusion of value-added services in the sales price, including rim, scratch and dent repair, and even a take-me-home service,” highlighted Liu.
