Stuttgart. The new Mercedes‑Benz T‑Class is available for order with immediate effect. The premium small van for families and active leisure enthusiasts is initially available as a five-seater variant. A long-wheelbase version with up to seven seats will be launched at a later date. The T-Class will be delivered to the first markets in July. Prices start at 29,314.46 euros[1] for the T 160 with 75 kW (102 hp) (combined fuel consumption in accordance with WLTP: 6,7 – 7,2 l/100 km, combined CO2 emissions: 153 – 162 g/km)[2] petrol engine and manual transmission in standard equipment.
With the new T‑Class, Mercedes‑Benz is bringing comfort to the growing private small van segment whilst also offering all those who need lots of space an entry route into the world of the brand with the star. This completely new model combines multifunctionality and a huge amount of space with a high-end level of equipment. Even the standard equipment specification includes the following: MBUX infotainment system with 7-inch touchscreen and smartphone integration, multifunction steering wheel with Touch Control buttons, air conditioning and KEYLESS Start. Wide-opening sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle allow comfortable access to the rear passenger compartment. The choice of materials also reflects the true premium character. The centre armrest is upholstered as standard in black ARTICO man-made leather while the armrests and centre panels in the doors are covered with contemporary, finely structured NEOTEX. All models have a high-gloss black trim element in the instrument panel. Two equipment lines are available to enhance the high-quality appeal even further. Comprehensive, standard equipment which includes driving assistance systems and seven airbags contributes to the high level of safety in the T‑Class.
“Style” and “Progressive” equipment lines for an individual touch
The Line Style brings a sophisticated design with a dynamic touch to the T-Class for a surcharge of 1879.01 euros1. Hallmarks of exclusivity include the seat covers in black ARTICO man-made leather/MICROCUT microfibre with double topstitching, and trim elements on the doors and centre console in high-gloss black or optionally in matt limonite yellow. Providing additional touches are the chrome highlights on the air vents, loudspeakers and door handles. Additional features include the ambient lighting and practical folding tables on the rear of the front seats. Exterior characteristics include 16-inch, 5-spoke design wheels and dark tinted windows for the rear and tailgate.
The Progressive Line (3633.07 euros)[3] places even greater emphasis on elegance and luxury equipment. Thus the upper section of the instrument panel is covered in NEOTEX with contrasting topstitching.
Seats in black ARTICO man-made leather with white topstitching and trim elements in matt silver on the centre console and doors further accentuate the vehicle’s top-quality character. The sliding doors have electric windows. The exterior makes a visual statement with a chrome trim strip on the tailgate, 16-inch 10-spoke light-alloy wheels and LED High Performance headlamps as well as partial LED rear lamps.
High level of safety features
The T-Class is equipped with a broad range of driving assistance systems as standard. These include Hill Start Assist, Crosswind Assist, ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Speed Limit Assist. For additional convenience and safety when entering and exiting parking spaces, there’s the optional Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and reversing camera (Parking Package 1106.70 euros)1. In combination with the optional trailer coupling, the T-Class also has Trailer Stability Assist (675.92 euros)1. Also contributing to the high level of active safety are the LED High Performance headlamps and partial LED rear lamps (987.70 euros1, standard for the Progressive Line).
The T-class also meets the high safety standards set by Mercedes‑Benz where restraint systems are concerned. Altogether seven standard airbags protect vehicle passengers. One particular highlight – and not just in the small van segment – is the centre airbag. In the event of a severe side impact, it is deployed between the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat and thus serves to reduce the risk of the two occupants coming into contact with one another. The safety of the youngest travellers has also been taken care of: iSize standard child seat fixings with ISOFIX anchorages and TopTether are fitted on the outer rear seats as well as on the front passenger seat with automatic airbag deactivation. To accommodate a fourth child, a booster seat can be installed on the centre seat of the rear bench seat.
Extensive selection of equipment packages
Mercedes-Benz also offers a host of options for comfort and safety in various equipment packages for the T-Class:
- The Technology Package (1558.90 euros)1 includes KEYLESS-GO, wireless charging, two USB interfaces on the centre console in the rear, Highbeam Assist and LED High Performance headlamps and partial LED rear lamps.

Another practical special equipment item for all those who require a lot of stowage space is a roof railing with integrated basic carriers made of aluminium (357.00 euros)1. In just a few simple steps, it can be converted into a roof luggage rack with a load capacity of 80 kilogrammes.
At market launch, the T-Class Edition, an attractive special model with comprehensive equipment, is also available in Germany. It is based on the Progressive Line and combines this with additional equipment highlights such as a 7‑speed automatic transmission, metallic paint, 17-inch light-alloy wheels and the MBUX infotainment system with navigation and THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control.
